Summer Art Program For Young Artists

FOR KIDS AGES 6 AND UP

In this exciting art program, we will explore various media and artistic processes including:  painting, drawing and mask making, giving your young artist a chance to be creative all summer long!  Students will have fun while still learning the elements and principles of Art.  After each lesson, your little artist will have a finished artwork that he or she can use to decorate his/her room or give as a gift.

When:

Classes held every Tuesday from 10-11:30 am, June 3 – Aug 19th

June 17th & 24th:

Paper Mache’ mask making

July:

1st & 8th (wooden plaque dragon drawing and painting)

15th (dress-up figure drawing)

22nd (Sumi brush and ink scrolls)

29th (light catcher scrolls)

 

August:

5th (collage and decoupage on a wooden plaque or box)

12th & 19th (learn from the old Masters by studying an artists’ work and then creating a copy of your favorite piece or make an original work inspired by the artists’ style.

Cost:

$20 per student, per class, includes supplies! Register for 1 or all.  $20 discount for students who register for all classes in the program and a $5 per class, per child discount for each additional child in a family.  Total costs would be $220 for the whole program for 1 child, $160 for any additional children in the same family.  (Taking registration now!)

Diana Sugano (B.A. of Fine Art at UHCL and 15 years of experience as a private art educator in Houston, Texas)

 

Laurie Anderson (B.A. of Fine Art at NAU.)

Both are working artists, mothers and members of the Arts Coalition of Erie.
